5 Major Changes in IBPS Examination Pattern, Selection Procedure

IBPS Clerk Exam 2012 Notification is out and the Online Registration are going on. IBPS introduced a Few Changes in the Exam Pattern and Selection Procedure.But the major change that will impact most of the students is that From Now IBPS Written Exam Goes Online. This means, that there will be No Pen Paper Exam and In fact, you have to give the Exam on a Computer at a Computerized Centre

This New IBPS Online Examination System is Both a Boon and Bane for Students and has its Merits and Demirts.Let's have  a Look at Both.


Merits

  • Click to Answer: In Pen Paper Exam, a lot of time is wasted while darkening the Ovals.In the Online System, you simply have to click to mark your answer. Thus it saves a lot of time of the students and this saved time can be utilized to attempt Questions.
  • Cost-Effective: A lot of money is wasted on Printing Question Papers, Storing the Papers, Loading, Unloading etc etc. Now this money can be saved.

Demirts

  • A major concern is that most of the students are not used to with the Online Examination System. Even we have seen that students from Rural Backgrounds will have trouble in submitting the Online Applications.

Solution


IBPS must come with a Solutions regarding the Online Examination system. A better way is to arrange Online Mock Tests, Manual Training Sessions for the students, so as to give them a real time Examination Environment,



Other changes in the IBPS Examination System


  • IDBI Joins the List: The Previous Common Written Exams (CWE's) were conducted for Jobs in 19 Public Sector Banks. From. Now, there will be 20 Public Sector Banks, with IDBI Joining the list. Here is the List of 20 Public Sector Banks.
  • Degree is Mandatory: In he First CWE for Clerks, applications are invited from Intermediate Candidates (12th Class). But from Now, on  Graduation is Mandatory to apply for IBPS Clerk Exam and Clerical Jobs in Public Sector Banks in India.

  • Common Interviews: From Now, Qualifiers in the IBPS Clerk Exam will have to appear in the Common Interviews coordinated by IBPS. This is a significant change, as it will curb the Problem of Multiple Selections in Banks, for which the IBPS is widely Criticized
  • Examination Pattern: There is a slight change in IBPS Examination Pattern. Instead of 250 Questions with 50 Questions in Each Section, Now there will be 200 Questions with 40 Questions in Each Section.The Exam duration is substantially reduced from 2.5 Hours to 2 Hours

  1. But it seems there is a problem , how one can solve maths problem on computer without using pen and paper ??

  2. I think online examinations are far better than offline

    it will give amazing experience to from reading to answer a question ....

  3. The online exam for Clerks have much de-merits.
    1.It is unreachable to rural candidates. They might have the knowledge of computers but practicing for Computerized tests are not reachable to them.
    2. Due to server problems candidates have to loose time.
    3. The conduction of Exam is very expensive since due to frequent power cuts the Generators have to be arranged which consumes lot of fuel.
    4.There is no guarntee if the machine is in working condition or not.
    5.Generally it is noticed when this type of conducted for mass candidates the old and out dated computers are used.

    6. Even a sigle mis-strke on key pad may spoil entire exam and candidate will loose a chance. And who are at the edge of prescribed age has to mis the chance.

  4. Online exam will benefit us only in field of English,g.k,but about maths how one can solve maths without pen and paper.

  5. IBPS has now organized a common interview but what about those candidate who are selected before, no policy for them who have qualified first exam conducted by IBPS
